Who'‘s Who in The Quoo???
Hello friends! We are Scott and Christopher, known to ourselves as The QuooKeepers! We live alongside our two French Bulldogs; Doug and Debbie, our four cats; Adam, Aaron, Anna, and Alexis, and our snake Greg! This website is part business, part creative home, and part record of who we are and who we’re becoming!
Scott is a retired Registered Veterinary Technologist, with 20 year of in-clinic experience, including a year-long adventure working with both pets and wildlife in Australia. He also has more than 25 years of experience in personal animal care, looking after and enriching the lives of countless pet friends along the way, from dogs and cats to geckos and lizards, snakes and spiders to rabbits and rats. These days, he is busy growing Home Is Where The Paws Are Pet Services, working on upcycled furniture terrarium builds, and creating (and enjoying!) social media content that centers animals, their antics, and the humans that love them!
Christopher is a life-long music lover and maker, combining piano skills (often learned by ear) with a voice that grows in strength and presence each day. They also dabble in photography, knitting, and writing (songs and poems), and are reconnecting to a love of acting and performance, tethered by the energy and skills they learned at their time in film school. They are a fierce advocate and supporter of both their local and international 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and work to uplift and amplify marginalized voices from every corner of the globe. They bring passion, determination, and creativity to The Quoo’s wider world.
The Quoo, while based around animal care and habitation, is so much more than just pet services. It’s a home for our creative projects, experiments, and community-based outreach and support. We’re rooted in Queer identity, chosen family, community, and care. We believe in making spaces where people can show up as their most authentic, vibrant selves. Over time, we hope to grow this site into a space for expression, growth, and sharing the things that make us feel most alive and ourselves.
