Why choose The Quoo instead of going to your vet?
The Quoo is pleased to offer pet services through our organization Home Is Where The Paws Are.
What if the basics of animal care could be handled in your own home (your pet’s safe place)? With twenty years of experience in the veterinary health world, and much of that knowledge coming from a plethora of amazing veterinary professionals, I believe that incremental care can be the relationship saver between a vet clinic and pet parents!
If your pet’s needs are non-emergent or do not require diagnostic testing (x-ray, blood work, etc), it’s very likely I can help! An in-home visit from me can cut down on the stress of travelling to a clinic and spending unneeded time in a high-stress clinical environment, especially if your pet is nervous, fearful, shy, or reactive. In the aftermath of COVID, vet clinics are busier and stretched thinner than ever. The goal of mobile vet tech services like HIWTPA are to help to ease that load, allowing vet clinics and their staff to focus on acute and emergent pet issues, rather than competing with clinics for time and resources.
Pet Services through The Quoo is not about rushing, forcing, or fitting every pet into the same service box, or even a certain a certain schedule! It’s about meeting your pet where they’re at, respecting their individual needs, and creating safer, more comfortable care experiences.
More info about our services is listed below:
-
We are pleased to offer personalized dog and cat sitting for your favourite furry friend! Overnight and boarding (at The Quoo’s discretion) area available, inquire at our link!

Nail trims are often booked as “tech appointments” in veterinary clinics, usually taking between 2 and 4 staff members to achieve a safe and paws-itive outcome. By coming to you directly, I can help mitigate the anxiety your pet is feeling, which in turn helps with pet parent anxiety too! This also keeps your pet groomed and happy, all while using less resources than a traditional clinic setting.
-
Anal gland expression can make a happy pet a snappy pet! Adding in the stress of a clinic environment, this can make for a very unpleasant experience for both pet parent and pet! Save time, money, and grey hairs with a home gland expression. Your pet won’t have to leave their safe space, and you can leave the messy business to someone who’s used to handling it!
-
Need someone to look after you bird, rabbit, gecko, or other exotic pet while you’re away? Have no fear, we offer personalized exotic pet care for your fabulous animal friends!
-
Hate having to give your pet injections? Uncomfortable giving your pet their oral medication? While I cannot prescribe medications for your pets, I am happy to assist in the administration of your pet’s medication, and offer advice and experience on how those medications work!
If your pet is on Solensia or Librela, you know the hassle of packing up your pet and taking them to the clinic. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, many clinics are comfortable providing you with the medication for an RVT to administer. Talk to your clinic about at-home injections with HIWTPA.

I am happy to offer nutritional consultation, behavioural advice (rouge peeing cats, reactive dogs, fear aggression, etc), general pet wellness advice, and senior pet lifestyle changes, to name a few!
